Text messaging (SMS)

Operlio is scheduling and invoicing software for small service businesses such as lawn care, cleaning and snow removal companies. When a business uses Operlio, its customers can receive text messages about their own appointments and bills: appointment confirmations and reminders, “your crew is on the way” and “job completed” notices, quotes, invoices and payment receipts. Every text is about a specific job or account and names the business that sent it.

We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and phone numbers are never sold or shared for marketing.

1. A customer gives their mobile number to the service business when they book or ask for a quote, in person, by phone, or through the business’s Operlio booking request form, and agrees to get texts about that service.
2. The business enters the number on the customer’s record in Operlio. Text updates are a per-customer setting (“SMS” under how updates go out), which the business turns off for anyone who prefers email only.
3. Every text ends with “Reply STOP to opt out.” Businesses agree in our Terms of Service (section 16) to get consent before texting and to honor opt-outs.

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying any goods or services.

• Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts to that number. You will get one confirmation and nothing after it. Reply START to receive texts again.
• Reply HELP for help, or email support@hello.operlio.io.
• Message frequency varies with your appointments, usually a few texts per job.
• Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
